Salaam alaikum, everyone. My name is Omer Asif, and I'll be serving as your President for this year, inshAllah

A little bit about me, I was born in Toronto, and I'm the oldest of 4. In my spare time, I enjoy reading up on the teachings of the Salaf As-Salihin, giving dawah, and learning comparative religion. I also like Yemeni coffee and hanging out with the guys at Ridgeway from time to time

For this upcoming year, I would like to say on behalf of our MSA that we will give it our all to benefit this community to the greatest degree, and honour it to the highest standard. The goal is to create an environment where every muslim feels welcomed and supported by us. We will strive to strengthen our bonds with Allah SWT, and to operate within the guidelines of the sunnah of our beloved prophet ﷺ and the teachings of the pious.

We are dedicated to making this year one filled with lasting memories, benefits, and overall, meaningful experiences.

I’m a 3rd-year transfer student in Software Engineering, and I’ll be the VP of Events this year, insha’Allah. I enjoy reciting the Quran, jet skiing, playing volleyball and football, as well as watching Los Blancos.
